Innovative mobility at Viva Rescue

Viva Rescue provides custom and adaptable wheelchairs to goat and sheep residents who come into our program with disabilities that require mobility aids.

Viva Rescue serves disabled ruminants by providing custom made prosthetics to residents who need them. 

These prosthetics can be an alternative to wheelchairs for goats/sheep who 's situation better fits a prosthetic.

We work with an innovative veterinary team that supervises casting and splinting for goats and sheep who come in with contracted tendons and other soft tissue injuries. Oftentimes these interventions can prevent the need of lifetime mobility aids by correcting deformities early.

We provide amputations to goats and sheep that our program intakes born with deformed limbs, broken limbs that can not be repaired and other medical conditions where amputation is warranted.
